Source: 65Singapore, 8 October 2015为配合政府打造智慧国的愿景及推动新加坡成为亚洲通信科技中心，碲堡置地（Kingsland）斥资逾1亿元，设立本地首个多层次（Multi-tier）批量数据中心。坐落在裕廊西的数据中心，占地20万8000平方英尺，共有五层楼16个数据室，供来自亚太地区的企业租用相关数据及安全设备，作为通信、存储、云端科技及互联网安全等用途。以发展工商业房地产起家的碲堡置地董事经理石汉秋表示，这是该公司首次跨足科技领域，新加坡云端科技及数据中心的发展落后于美国与中国，但即将迎来爆炸性的增长，因为本地企业普遍面临营运成本及租金攀高，以及科技发展与安全问题，而数据中心能提升企业效率，降低成本，并保护资料与数据安全。该公司营运总监林总杰表示，目前已有数家大企业在于该公司商谈合作事项，估计在两年内能完成全面运作，而该数据中心是实地参考美国、日本等国的技术建成，包括冷却系统及不断电设备，有信心给予客户有效的技术及设备支持。
